Leonid Dinershtein

Entrepreneur. Ex-cofounder of Mayak. Now building with AI.

I'm an entrepreneur and builder who spent most of his life turning ideas into products people use. Writing code, shipping features, leading teams, and figuring out what people actually need.

I've been building software for almost 20 years. For the first decade I worked across the full stack — building backends, APIs, and everything in between. My go-to stack was Ruby on Rails — I loved Ruby for its elegance and expressiveness. Over time I grew into a tech lead role, managing engineering teams, setting up development processes, making architectural decisions, and mentoring developers. Those ten years of hands-on engineering and leadership taught me to think in systems, ship fast, fail fast, and learn faster.

In 2020 I took the leap and cofounded Mayak — a marketplace analytics platform for Wildberries and Ozon sellers. What launched as a small startup quickly grew into a technically challenging, high-load platform — terabytes of data, ClickHouse under the hood, and real-time analytics at scale. Mayak reached 400,000 users and became a Top-25 SaaS in Russia. We sold the company in 2024.

After the exit, I took a two-year break — traveled, reflected, and recharged. That time off gave me clarity on what I want to build next and how I want to build it.

Now I'm back and building again. The landscape has changed dramatically, and I believe the best time to build with AI is right now.
